The Hinge

I call this blog The Hinge because of Paul's statement in Romans 8:1 where he wrote "Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." This helps me in my life because even though I am saved, I "feel" depraved and as a sinner. It's hard for me to believe that God no longer judges me. All of the pastors that I have heard preach about when I die I will go to be judged and God will play all of the bad things I have ever done on a screen for everyone to see is WRONG. I was terrified about this growing up. All of that is nonsense though, according to Romans 8:1. Condemnation and judgment are the same thing, basically. If God doesn't condemn me, then He also doesn't judge my sin anymore, He will only judge my good works for the purpose of blessing me with rewards. The reason is simple. God put all of my sin on Jesus at the cross and judged Him and took out His wrath on Him so that I could be forgiven. And I have been forgiven. All of my sin was judged at the cross. If it wasn't, then why did Christ even have to die? Obviously, He died for me. The judgment for my sin is O-V-E-R, and for this I am grateful.
